Hi Everyone!

First of all thank you ALL for clicking onto whatever link it was that brought you here to my blog today, I appreciate you :)

The reason for this post is that I really wanted to end the year with a gift to you all, and what could be better than to give you all a piece of me? A piece of my passion... a piece of music!

So here it is! My gift to you all, a heartfelt and stripped version of me singing Ed Sheeran's AMAZING song The A Team. Honestly this song to me is just beyond words, its emotional! I absolutey LOVE Ed Sheeran and his aura, his vibe and the things that he writes about, when he performs them I find him engaging and I'm not going to lie a couple songs on his album MAY have made a sister shed a tear.... #Truth - so what better song to bring something out of me to you than A-Team!

So to conclude this post, it has been an amazing year full of ups and downs for me and I'm sure it has been for most of you too. Every single part of it brought me to this blog post right now and this breath that I am taking right now and so I am grateful for it ALL, life is a beautiful thing, it really is. God bless you all and I look forward to 2012! Its going to be EPIC!

ENTREPRENEUR CRYSTAL 'KING' CELEBRITY IS A DRAGON AT A TEEN ENTREPRENEUR EVENT!

Hi guys and dolls!

As most of you already know I am a proud female business owner!
I have been running my creative agency and events management company 'Celebrity Creations Management' for 6 years now and I also own and manage Cats Recording Studios in East London - alongside being my own brand as a singer and model. Last year I was the winner of the "Most Creative Female" award at the London Young Women's Awards and I also have been running a blog dedicated to and targetting and audience of women in business called 'She Inspired Her' for the last year .... I'm a busy bee building my empire and loving every minute of it and always looking for new ways to inspire young people to be at their personal best with their skills and talents!

Recently I was contacted by Awad Bhenick - Director of Blue Sky Media - and asked if I would attend their Enterprise Day for various year 11 students, as a special guest judge and Business Dragon for the day! I was more than happy to take on the role and for the chance to get involved and offer advice and inspiration to those wanting to get into the business scene! The event was organised by Blue Sky Media and the London Borough of Newham 14-19 partnership scheme and what a great job and privilege to be offered to me - I was in my element and being a HUGE fan of shows like Dragon's Den and The Apprentice I was buzzing to do it right from the word go!

The Enterprise day was hosted by Newham College of Further Education in East London and I was joined on the panel by three other business 'dragons' Elisabete Furtado (Sales Associate at Ralph Lauren), Gary Jarrett and Zulehkha Waheed - a great bunch who know their business!

We were there for the full day as dragons to give these students an insight into the real world of business and the hurdles and challenges that you may have to face to get your ideas across to the business world and turn them into a reality. The students were in groups and each group had to pitch their unique business ideas to us 'dragons' across the day. At certain intervals throughout this process the groups were able to have one-on-one time with the dragins for us to teach and advise them about finance, technology, marketing, and HR and then they gave their final pitches to us at the end of the event- mimicking a real investment pitch that they would give to a real dragon.

Overall this event was inspiring for everyone involved. I got some amazing feedback from the students themselves about how much they enjoyed it and their determination to follow in the footsteps of myself and the other judges in the years to come. It is always nice to be told face-to-face that you are inspiring in some way and I was really really happy to hear from some of these year 11 pupils that I had inspired them on the day and that they would love to do what I am doing and start their own mini empire to secure their futures on business! Great results as that is exactly what I was there to do! On top of this I myself was inspired and would 100% do these types of events again and again - they are so important and there is nothing like bringing out the best in young people and watching them shine and enjoy it! They were a very bright group of individuals and all of their ideas and energies were at time surprising for their ages, I wish them all the best & truly believe that each one of them can go far!

Hey everyone!

Woweeeeee! It's been a VERY VERY VERY busy last few weeks for me! So much so that AGAIN I have not been neglecting my blog slightly and not keeping you all updated on my movement, shows and appearances! So here it all is in a nutshell!

I was interviewed by Update Magazine!

I was interviewed by the editor of Update magazine this month for one of the forthcoming issues. I went down to meet the Editor in Camden for the interview and I love Camden so was glad to be up there again after ages! The editor is so lovely actually! Really nice guy and for those of you who do not know about it the magazine is fresh and current and it was great to know that he wanted to do a forthcoming feature on me! With such a great person running the Update ship I can see HUGE things for this magazine - I look forward to the article!

I sang my heart out at the Health Care 4 Africa Charity Event

I had another great show also at the Albany Theatre a few days ago! It was a charity event that was put on to help raise awareness for a very special and inspiring charity called Health Care 4 Africa.I was honoured to be asked to attend and perform a set at the event at the Albany and really enjoyed my time there.

Luca played guitar and we did another run of our ever growing popular acoustic set and we were received so well I was just so happy to be there! There's nothing like an audience who sing and clap along and get involved in the set! I loved it! I must have been doing something right!!! And the networking opportunities after were priceless!

Honestly I love doing events like this because they are all about giving back and that is EXACTLY what being A CRYSTAL CELEBRITY is ALL ABOUT! I loved every moment and their was such a positive feeling in the air for the whole event - so nice!

Headlining at The EPM Music Lounge:
I had a GREAT night performing at an industry event called the Music Lounge earlier this month at The RS Lounge in Woodford, London! It was the Music Lounge's 1st birthday as a top industry showcase and so it was a special one! I was more than happy to be booked, alongside Dele, to headline a their 1 year celebration! I decided to do a special set for EPM Management founders Wendy Phillips & Shonnete Hammond, the two amazing women behind the Music Lounge, and performed this with my amazing guitarist Luca and my backing singer Miss Tee and Ruth, and we set the place alight with a set including a spanish medley and a Bob Marley classic!

My live performance at the Leyton Car Free Day festival! I had an amazing time performing at the Leyton Car Free Day earlier this month! This event is such a great one to do and it was my third time being booked for the Car Free Day show! The best thing about this event was definitely that it was outdoor in the sunshine and full of great vibes!! The audience was full of people of all ages, out on the streets celebrating in the sunshine and enjoying the entertainment and the surroundings! I had kids asking me for autographs and artists drawing cartoon characters of me and my family soon as I got off the stage! I sang an little tribute to Aaliyah marking another anniversary since her passing, which was an honour to do and I also did a few other tracks on-stage with playing so well on the Spanish guitar! The crowd loved it and I then spent a little time trying out some of the Mexican and other international foods at the market that was set up, before rushing over to another set of acting rehearsals!

This month I was also booked for a promotional model campain at... BHS! LOL! YES IT'S VERY RANDOM!!!
One of the agencies that I am with booked me onto the campaign and it was actually quite fun!
I was told we could wear all black..... but when I got there no no no they had other plans for me and the other model! They dressed me up in attire that made me feel like an PROPER AIR HOSTESS!! Haha! Prim and proper, long grey pencil skirt - (I NEVER BUY LONG SKIRTSSSSSS ARGH! SO RESTRICTING - MY BUM WAS STUCK)! Hahaha! And this red neck tie! But I really had a great couple of days on the campaign for their store opening - it was easy! Smiling, looking like an air hostess lol, giving vouchers to the public and giving BIG ORANGE BALOONS to the kids (awwwwww)! I LOVED THE CHILDREN! They had these big bright smiles when I handed them baloons, as if they had just won the lottery!!! And they were like "FANKOOOOO" - Awwwww! PRiceless!

Jodie Harsh Art Exhibition
Believe it or not, but at some points during this mad month I had to let my hair down and party!!! Yep yep! I took some time out last week to meet up with my old skool bestie and PR buddy Vanessa Laker to hit Jodie Harsh's Art Launch Party at my favorite club BOND, just off Oxford Street and formally called 24 London!
It was a great night! As you can expect with Jodie HArsh the crowd was very eccentric and different WHICH I LOVEEEE! So many personalities and looks going on that night and Jodie Harsh DEFINITELY did not disappoint on that front either! With a barnet that grows everytime I see it she was the perfect host and the photographic art on display was actually very very impressive! I was drawn constantly to the plasma screen picture displays which featured some great artistic photography. As expected the photography and the models were eccentric and intriguing with hints of eroticism and wonder! A well thought out selection of art and an really good exhibition - well done Jodie! Good for you! :)

ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT THAT WILL GET ITS OWN BLOG WAS PERFORMING AT FLAVOUR LIVE!!! MEMORABLE NIGHT! CHECK BACK SOON FOR THAT UPDATE!

CRYSTAL CELEBRITY MENTORS YOUNG WOMEN AT THE SKILLED WOMEN EVENT

Hi Superstars!

Recently I attended and did my "female entrepreneur thang" at the first ever "Skilled Women" event, which is set to be the first one of many. The event took place at Sarah Bonell Secondary School in Stratford.

I felt extremely honoured to have been asked to speak to the young women attending this extraordinary event, as I was contacted by Skilled Women off the back of being viewed as a "role model" for young women and a successful female business owner! I was also booked to sit with the young women attending and do one-on-one mentoring sessions with them about their aspirations, goals and dreams and to discuss with them a way forward to combat these as aspiring entrepreneurs!
As if this wasn't going to be rewarding enough I was also asked if I would be the main presenter for the whole event! I of course took the role on with a smile and a spring in my step and had a GREAT day with everyone who attended! I left feeling even more inspired...(And they gave me beautiful sunflowers to take home...yey)! :)

The room was filled with the most amazing females, from school girls in their final years to established women in business! We all had something in common, the drive to succeed and the readiness to keep pushing boundaries and become better and better within our chosen fields, as powerful women in business!
Another speaker on the day was Mavis Amankua of Rich Visions, who as usual was a complete inspiration and role model, showing that perseverance, dedication and belief in ones-self DO lead to success!

The pupils from Sarah Bonnell school who attended the event were a real breath of fresh air! Vibrant, loud, enthusiastic, ambitious and excited! I loved every minute and they all reminded me of ME! There were many women owned businesses showcasing their products and services within the building and the girls from Sarah Bonnell school also had their own display area.

They were all very talented and had made their own lines of products, each product made from denim, from handbags to denim tin can covers, their moto being "Denim today, who knows what tomorrow"! Indeed! The things that are popular are forever changing from day to day and they definitely have their eye on the ball, a lot of creative ideas flowing from these young ladies!

When I sat to have the one-on-one sessions with these ladies I came to find that they were all very determined to succeed and in so many different areas! From wanting to be on the next "Junior Apprentice" to wanting to be the most famous asian female actress to ever walk the earth, I heard it all today and LOVED that they all had strong visions and were aiming BIG! It all starts with a vision...

Overall the event was an amazing success and at the end they gave me flowers to take home which was lovely ! Its hard being a woman in business, you often have to break barriers and jump up and down to make yourself known! One things that rarely happens is someone giving you a pat on the back and saying "well done", but I can honestly say that being recognised and asked to do the Skilled Women event was like having that pat on the back and someone saying "WE SEE YOU"!

So thanks to Angela Brivett and her wonderful team, until the next Skilled Women event!

The recent movements of Crystal Celebrity....

Hiya everyone,

I've been on a busy schedule lately! Not only have I had my "Women run the world" cap on in my day to day running's as a female business owner, both at my recording studios and at my office, but also sorting out my PRECIOUS music package, preparing video shoots for forthcoming singles and doing some modelling assignments in between! So the blog has suffered which I do apologise for, but busy is good! I have to just learn to juggle it all!

I recently was part of the SLEEK Cosmetic campaign (a make-up brand currently selling in Superdrug) and was so happy to be chosen as one of the girls to shoot for their brand new SLEEK foundation palletts! They have about 40 different shades, which I believe is the largest palette/colour range of ANY cosmetics brand - and will, I think bring SLEEK forward on the map as a major cosmetics brand and not just an urban brand, which they were previously seen to be. I am happy to be the new face of the colour entitled "Honeycomb"! I look forward to seeing the pics! The shoots were so much fun! You would think that 30-40 female models in a room would be a seriously tense atmosphere haha! But on the contrary we all had fun, laughed throughout and enjoyed it thoroughly! Really fun modelling gig I must say! ;)

Some of you also will know that last month I took part in the first GLAMOROUS "Jump For London" shoot!
Jump for London is run by award winning photographer Clare Newton and she is competing to be featured in the Guiness Book of Records for the worlds longest ever photograph! But this is a project with a twist! Her aim is to get local communites, Celebrities, Sports Personalities, the abled and the less ables, the young and the old involved - AND EVERYONE PICTURED DURING THE PROCESS WILL HAVE TO JUMP AND BE CAPTURED MID-AIR!!!! So I was asked to kick off the DIVA & CELEBRITY jumps hehe, what a great idea! I loved it... I have no pictures for you yet except for the behind the scenes make-up! But as soon as the video that we recorded is up for public viewing my blog readers will be the first to know!!!!

On the music side of things I have been in the studio non-stop recording my new material!!!!! I just want to send it to you all immediately! But of course that is not quite how it works haha! So you will all have to wait just a little longer! I have even started shooting scenes for the promo music video for my single "Superstar" - which has been FUN FUN FUN! Can't wait to start unleashing this new material on you all and hearing the responses! Soon come!

So back to London and back to business! About 2 weeks ago I was booked to model for a sleek campaign and 2 press days that they were holding for the cosmetics company. I have just been asked by SLEEK to come back, along with some of the other girls that I met at the SLEEK Press Campaign, where we were booked to model their foundation, to individual photoshoots for the SLEEK foundations! I will shoot for my SLEEK tone "Honey Comb" at the beginning of May, so look out for that!!

MY THREE NEW PHOTO SHOOTS - SNEAK PEAKS ;D

Hey Guys & Dolls!

So this last couple of months I've had three amazing photoshoots! I am truely a singer! Thats my main forte, my passion, my career! But you all know I modelled for years and still LOVE my photoshoot and still do get model bookings which I never turn down if it feels like the right job! Anyway, new year, new looks!

I guess I should give you all a preview of the results! The first one was with a friend of mine, the amazingly talented photographer Fabian Jones of Fabpix photography! We did a shoot up in the docklands area with another very very talented friend of mine T-Man, doing the behind the scenes of the shoot! It was FREEEEEEZING! The snow had been recently falling and was still frozen on the ground and we were on the docklands by the river! I suffered for the art of modelling - but we got the shots! The theme words that we had for the feel of the soot were DIVA, strong woman, regal, queen, powerful... (hehe all for little old me):

I really loved this theme - powerful female! Of course! Who wouldn't! And I really couldn't think of anyone better to capture the moment thank Fabian ;)

We had a good day shooting inside and outside in the docklands area and the shoot was a CHALLENGE for me because 1. It was sooooooooo cold!!!!!!! and 2. Shock horror I HAD TO DO MY OWN MAKE-UP BECAUSE MY MUA COULDN'T MAKE IT IN THE END!!!! Arrrgggghhhh!!!

But guess what! We are troopers and we did it!!! I love the results, Fabian, I want you by my side forever!!!! More shoots more shoots!!!! And your props (guitar/glasses) were great additions! You guys all need to book Fabian he is he best!

The second shoot was for Amor Magazine! An fantastic online publication that you should all check out! I will put up the links to the magazine and my featured article when it is ready and published! Check back for that. The editor and founder of Amor Magazine, Ruby Moore is a great young lady and it was my pleasure to be a part of it! Thanks Ruby! (this pic is just a bb snippet from my computer screen saver)!

The third shoot was with Olamint Productions and it was a great shoot! We just wanted to do some random shots and capture something a bit different! So once those shots are ready I will let you all have a good look at those too and let me know what you think! It was really a great day for many reasons! Not only did the shoot go really well, I also STUMBLED across a HUGE poster of myself outside a hair shop THAT I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE ON A BILLBOARD! I did a shoot for Sof N Free hair products and had only seen some shots from the shoot in Black Beauty magazine! A few people TOLD me that there were posters and billboards of the braid hair campaign that I did for Sta Sof Fro but I had never seen one for myself - well to say the least I was pretty chuffed to see it finally! So of course I took a few shots of myself standing by it for you guys to take a look at - what you think? ;)

As you know, I was on stage last week for a special Valentines show, supporting the likes of the one and only SILK, Kut Klose and Total's very own Pamela Long, at the IndigO2 (O2 Arena, London).

I wanted to thank you ALL personally for coming down to watch, listen and support the show!

I saw SO many familiar faces it was KRAZY!!! So seriously thank you all for being there and for giving me such positive feedback during and after the show! I had FUN!

I have to say I REALLY appreciated each and every "wooop wooooopppp" and "Go onn Crystallllllllll" that I heard from the stage hehe... I mean SERIOUSLY! Note taken! You lot can SCREAM for a sister ;o)

Backstage Antics with Silk!

After the show I chilled backstage with the group SILK and they are a great bunch of guys, very very talented and very very cool! I must say we all caught some serious jokes! I serenaded 'Tresfunk' with a special Happy Birthday number - as it was his birthday that very night! HAPPY BIRTHHHDDAAYYY TOOO YOUUUUU! ;-D and he sang a little something back (sorry ladies I didn't pull out the camera in time hehe) but he was truely amazing! I also grabbed myself some great memorabilia in the form of THE DRUMSTICKS of Silk's very talented drummer "Lebron". He signed the sticks backstage saying:

"LEBRON SILK ATL - BE REAL - I HAD THE BEST TIME"

Further to that the drummer, Lebron also took it upon himself to teach me how to talk the way the REAL people out in ATL talk! Esma pulled out here camera and recorded it, it was HILARIOUS!!!! CRYSTAL CELEBRITY MAKES A CAMEO APPEARANCE IN CEROSE & MR MIDAS' "WE RUN TINGS" MUSIC VIDEO

Hey Guys and; Dolls,

As I mentioned in a previous blog post a couple of months ago, I made an appearance in the recent music video that Mr Midas and Cerose shot for their current track "We Run Tings".

Now as you may know, Mr Midas was one of the two MC's to grace my debut single "Bye Bye" and he did a great job! So I was more than happy to return the favour here with this cameo!

I got into character and played the part with my classic Crystal Celebrity crown on my head.... showing them that indeed we do reign and indeed "We Run Tings". My girl Bianca Maria also came down and all in all it was a good shoot that I enjoyed being part of! My favourite shots are the close up lighter shots lol, we had fun at the shoot, good vybes, good people and a lot of talent in the room. Big love to everyone who was part of it.

Well I hope you guys enjoy it, here is the completed video for your viewing and listening pleasure. As some of you know (as you were there) and others of you may have heard, I performed a special set at "The Music Lounge" last week, a music industry event run by EPM Universal, at the RS Lounge, London.

I performed two sets and it really was an amazing event! The quality of talent on stage was fantastic, back to back great performances, definitely the place to be each month if you love live music and REAL singers.

The tracks that I performed on the night included "Free As A Bird" (a song that I wrote for an old friend of mine who died as the result of knife crime (R.I.P Warren Graham) and I also did an a capella preview of my forthcoming track "Run This Town" (featuring Fumin) and ended with my most recent single "Bye Bye"! The crowd were very responsive!!! I enjoyed the whole night and found it to be EXTREMELY professional and well put together, which I thank EPM Universal for as this is very important and set their event apart from many others out there!

The Music Lounge, is a prestigious Music Event which takes place on the First Wednesday of every month. It provides a professional platform for up and coming Artist, Musicians, Bands, Groups, Duo's, Comedians, Presenters and Host to showcase their talents to Executives from the Entertainment and Music Industries

Ok this is not a post that I would normally put out or even give the time of day to without some sort of close source telling me it is truth (still I say allegedly). I have seen the news articles across the internet on Nigerian News bulletins and press websites, and a few other things are out of place AND a few close friends have confirmed it to me a few times... allegedly Mike L & Ify Eneli have been kidnapped in Nigeria (29th January 2010) ...I have an unsettling feeling and I will apologise if it is a hoax. Truely. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE, ONE THAT I DO NOT FIND FUNNY OR AMUSING IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, NEITHER SHOULD YOU AT ALL.

The news bulletins I have read on MANY sites, including ModernGhana.com & Ghana Nation & The Nigerian Voice news say the following..

"Pls Help Find Ify Eneli and Mike Eneri....

The Duo was Kidnapped Friday Nite while leaving LIKWID nite club , Victoria Island Lagos...at 1am on Friday nite....They were driving in a Black Mercedes Benz with plate Number...#JN 80 EKY.

Supposedly there is a message going around in Nigeria since 29th January saying " Michael Neri and Ify Eneli kidnapped while leaving Likwid nightclub in VI@1am yesterday. They were driving a black mercedes benz c-230 Plate JN 80 EKY. Please broadcast and report to police if there is any news"....The Kidnappers are asking for a #20 Million Naira ransome..."

Seriously, if you know something, say something. If its not true... wtf?!?! Whats wrong with people!

Now further to this(which as I say may be true), I wanna talk about MADE UP broadcasts that haunt my bb ALL THE TIME! Recently we all heard stupid rumours of guys on the funky house scene being "dead" when they are alive at home sleeping with no idea! And the classic one is that blackberry will work better if you send ridiculous pins and number to your contacts.... Then there's the child that gets kidnapped every three months by the SAME GUY with the SAME CAR and the SAME NUMBER PLATE! I mean SERIOUSLY! This is all getting a bit out of hand! Because then when something serious LIKE THIS does "potentially" happen it can be taken lightly, as "just another hoax".... I'm actually feeling silly right now, writing an article about someone I know because it COULD BE A LIE, whereas if it is true I would take it VERY SERIOUSLY and it would SHOCK THE HELL OUT OF ME! Its like the boy who cried wolf! When the story IS finally true, will anyone even listen or care??? They've received too much fiction to see it as fact! Messy stuff...

So think about the families and friends around these HUMAN BEINGS that are being effected by shocking news that MAY OR MAY NOT BE TRUE! Like seriously, imagine if the broadcast came in about your sister, boyfriend or mother.... would you really laugh at the joke before you collapse in sheer fright that it could be true??! I hope to God that he is safe... regardless of whatever and whatever blah blah you all have to say about him. Its not something I would wish on anyone...

I'd like to stress that this is all based on what I have read and what I have heard from close people too. NOT BASED ON A BB BROADCAST. I wouldn't have written it otherwise. But be aware this COULD BE FICTION. I hope it is.

I have been told it is in fact the truth..
I have been told also that the situation is looking like it will be over real soon and is being handled in terms of ransom etc... and hopefully Mike will be fine... it all makes me feel a bit sick.... I wish Michael all the divine guidance he needs to come back...

I've got another exclusive one for you guys! The one and only MR MIDAS, UK Dancehall artist, UMA Award winner and presenter for 4Music, (to name a few things), has just done it again! Done what? Jumped on a track and taken it to new heights!
Yes, this evening I'm reviewing the new track on the scene "ON AGAIN" by Sublusive Feat Abi Ryan & Mr Midas

In my opinion, an MC who can jump onto a track, lace a few bars and take it to new levels, is one worth having around! I have always rated Mr Midas which is why I chose him to be the feature on my single "Bye Bye", and I DEFINITELY think that this new 'On Again' track needed to have the Midas Touch, to give it that extra shine... and they picked the PERFECT candidate!

The video for 'On Again' is a great quality UK music video and I can see it getting some good circulation, which is great to see. It takes a second to get into the track at first, but when Mr Midas pounces in mid song with his classic hot boy swagger, tongue in cheek lyrics and that undeniable ladies man vybe, it all gets a bit interesting! Definitely worth you all checking it out!

STAND4SOMETHING - CRYSTAL CELEBRITY'S AFTER THOUGHT...

I just wanted to extend my thanks to everyone who came out and supported me at my performance at "STANDSOMETHING" this Sunday just passed! It was AMAZING!!!!!

I must say it has been a very long time since I felt the vibes that were present in the room at this particular event. Its was full of THE most positive and influential people and I really must say a HUGE thank you to Natalie Leonna of Natalie Leonna PR for booking me for the event as it was truely a pleasure to be a part of it.

STAND4SOMETHING is an event focussing on the inspiration and empowerment of women! There was an all female line-up on stage and the audience were buzzing from the start! The event supported an organisation called "Woman Kind" who are dedicated to supporting women through the troubles that life can throw at us everyday, rebuilding them and inspiring us all to stay strong and stand up for ourselves.

My highlights from the event were: THE HOST Remel London - she was engaging and funny, so well done to her, seeing Natalie after sooooo long and feeling some sister to sister proudness was another hightligh and ANGIE LAMAR, ahhhhh shes an incredible woman with and incredible presence! The overall entertainment on the night was fantastic and there was also a bit of story telling which was interesting and different, especially when she started with the Jamaican accent lol (you had to be there hhehe)! And of course the big highlight for me was getting on-stage and doing what I live and love to do! SING, entertain, captivate! I started with an inspirational one "Cant Give Up Now", to deliver the message to all the women (and men) in the room that we are here to be the best that we can be and that we should NEVER give up on our dreams and visions! And then I sang my self-penned track "Free As A Bird" that I wrote in dedication to the mother of Warren "Gumzy" Graham, who unfortunately died as the result of knife crime. (R.I.P) - So very well done to everyone who brought the event together and everyone who took part on and off stage!!! See you all at the next one!!

Hey guys and; Dolls!

As you may know I recently supported DRU HILL and BLACKSTREET at the IndigO2, London, and what a show!!! The whole night was a truely amazing experience! It really felt great to be a part of it and to have such a great platform on which to perform!

Now for many, being a support act for any established act in the industry can be a daunting thought! What if their fans don't take to me", but HONESTLY I felt so at home on that stage, I had no inhibitions whatsoever and I could barely WAIT to start my set!

Performing to such a high energy crowd was a rewarding challenge and an exhilarating experience.

I LOVED IT and was totally in my element, exactly where I wanted to be! And to be supporting two groups that I can only describe as LEGENDS on the RnB Group scene was an absolute honour! The response I got from the crowd - AMAZING I could'nt have asked for a more responsive crowd! They made some serious noise!

The guys from Dru Hill & Blackstreet were incredible, their vocals were second to none and their stage presence still very there! They have some DIE HARD fans out there and everyone seemed to become whatever age they were when Dru Hill first came out, again! Sisqo was such a lil' cutie with his rucksack on his back dancing and singing and looking like he always did, age has done him no harm, you can see he LOVES the stage and it was truely made for him! Not to mention the new member of Dru Hill, he was 100% damn fine lol!!! And his voice....vocal ecstasy! Well done to them all it was great to be there and to be a part of it. What a blessing.

Just a quick one for ya!

This week I did a little cameo appearance in a music video and thought I'd drop a few sneak peak behind the scenes pictures for you.

The song is by an artist called Cerose featuring Mr Midas (who also featured on my single "BYE BYE" above) and its a banger!!!! I love it, not only because my good friend Midas put his hotness on it but also because for the rest of the week the song was in my head!! So its a sure fire hit ;o)

Also featuring in the video is my girl Bianca Maria, so make sure you check it out when it hits the screens and give it some love and selection! The crown belonged to Cerose for his scenes... but I had to steal it!!!!! You know how it is, I cant be in a video with a crown and not wear it! HAAA YOUUU MUUUDDDD!!!! hahaha! ;oD

TOP MODEL OF COLOUR - FINAL HEAT - CRYSTAL CELEBRITY REVIEW

Top Model of Colour UK (TMC) is an annual modelling competition in the UK and it is now in its 5^th year. TMC is owned and run by Mahogany Model Management founder Sola Oyebade, and is a great platform for models of colour in the UK to gain some extra exposure. They get the chance to be critiqued by a panel of professionals from the fashion and modelling industries, not to mention the chance to shoot, shine and hit the catwalk!

Sola Oyebade is very passionate about models of colour and their potential to be recognised as top models in the fashion industry. Over the years I have seen him go from strength to strength to build a great platform for models of all races and to make their potential in the fashion industry clear for all to see. Indeed, Mahogany Model Management were actually the first agency in the UK to represent ME myself and I! And they really were a great help and a blessing to be with.

I happily snapped up my press passes and headed down to the event in Shepherd’s Bush, with great anticipation of the show ahead.

The whole night was a pleasure to attend! From the lively presenters to the fabulous model hopefuls on stage, to the judging panel at the end of the runway.

The whole atmosphere was very positive and inspiring and it felt great to be surrounded by some many beautiful people of colour! Black, white, Latina and mixed, everyone came out to celebrate TMC and that is what it was all about – seeing the beauty in all of us and showing our support to the ladies and gents onstage, each of them representing a unique beauty of their own.

Here is a summary of my highlights and favourites on the evening

Working with Mahogany Model Management (MMM) has led me to many great things and I recommend them to models of colour who are trying to get into the fashion and beauty industries as they take beginners as well as experienced models. To name a few MMM handled my appearance in the Mahogany Bridal Show (my first ever runway show), a front cover and 3 page spread in B-Magazine, and appearing as a runway model at the Glamour Show in Earls Court, London. CRYSTAL CELEBRITY - VANITY LOCKS PHOTOSHOOT - BLACKBERRY BEHIND THE SCENES

Hi guys and gals! As some of you may know I am one of the new faces for Vanity Locks ;o) So I thought I'd give you lot a nice little sneak peak of my recent photo shoot with Vanity Lock (courtesy of my sexy little white blackberry curve)! ;oP

The shoot took place in London Bridge the night before I left London to hit New York! Yes the NIGHT before and I had to catch my plane early morning from Heathrow!!! Trust me to do it that way though, you know this girl works good under pressure!

Two models from my Agency 'Crys-Style Creations' were selected by Vanity Locks to take part in this Photo Shoot for the upcoming Vanity Locks Campaign, alongside myself and they looked FABULOUS, so big love to Brooke Healy and Faileigh Cooper for getting the part. There were 5 models altogether in the shoot including myself, all representing a different skin tone! Lets face it, no matter what colour we are we ALL love a good old pamper and preen!! And as Vanity Locks founder Xaviere Mutombo says "There's Nothing Vain about Beauty"!

CLOTHES SHOW, EARLS COURT LONDON 2010

SO IT'S TIME TO TALK ABOUT THE CLOTHES SHOW!
So I got my press passes nice and early and was ready to hit the Clothes Show, (Earls Court, London) on behalf of CelebrityPartiesPR.com.
I called up Esma, we picked up our 'all access' press passes and we were on our way to Earls Court to see what was hot and what was not!
I thought I'd rock a crisp white dress, with jewellery to match and a fabulous quilted Chanel bag with some classic leopard print heels to add an edge! And sexy Esma did a bit of mixing and matching to create her own look. Esma rocked some cute loose-fitting denim shorts with a white vest and baggy off the shoulder blue slash cropped top. She matched this with knee high blue & white sports socks, a pair of gorgeous ankle lace-up shoes and an oversized bag!
There was a lot to capture on the day! So here are a few "awards" I'd like to hand out to the people that we caught up with at the show, both on AND off stage!

ITEM OF THE DAY
This jacket HAD to be the absolute BEST item that I came across on the day! BY FAR! Im still in awe of it!
It was very a very well made leather fishtail jacket with these FABULOUS gold metal winged shoulders and sharp edges! It was very very heavy in weight but would look amazing in a music video or photoshoot on the likes of someone like Rihanna or Lady Gaga!
I WANTED IT SO BAD - in a moment of madness I began to conjure up thoughts of how to achieve purchasing this £2000 jacket on the day....I then fell back to earth!
Modelled by Esma, this fabulous jacket gets full marks... 10/10!

MISS ORIGINALITY1 -
I saw this beauty a mile away! I caught a glimpse of her while I was having a consultation at the Sleek stand and had to get a picture (thanks Esma my trusty photographer on the day)! This beauty is a designer herself and I just love her hair and they way that she styled her locks, the earring were a design of her own and the outfit suited her to a tee! 10/10 for originality - I LOVE the ethnic feel and the fashionable touch with these trendy sandles.

MISS ORIGINALITY2
Another female in a league of her own I LOVED the detail on this dress, although you cannot see it as well in the picture, it was a dress with a story and a lot of personality! The kind of dress that not everyone can rock well. This dress looked great paired with the black criss cross open toed wedge sandles and she went for a 'mis match' brown leather saddle bag to complete the look.
Her fringed bob was also a good look for her - she knew what she was doing. 8/10

THE RUNWAY MODEL
I caught up with this model once she left the runway and she sported a simple black dress with an oversized smart jacket. She wore flat black pumps (and remained the tallest in eye shot) and an oversized bag on her arm - She oozed 'MODEL'! Simple but effective, sometimes less is more 7/10

HOT DRESS OF THE DAY
This dress was magical! Me and Esma plotted for a few seconds on how we could kidnap the dress without harming the model... forgive us, it was a hot day! In the end we just settled for a picture. The dress was VERY well made and the cut and detail was sooo lush! So the dress itself got 10/10

PETITE MODEL
This dress also caught my eye! The girl wearing it was very bubbly and smiley and she had a fire and individuality that went well with the dress. I found her natural box afro to be realy cute and I loved the two colours red and black and the ruffled sleeve to add a touch of class. This dress looked great on her very petite figure and got a thumbs up and a snap from me! 7/10

STYLE ICON
I actually bumped into this girl on my way to the show and thought that her style was great! So I thought I'd add her to the blog...what do you think??? Where do you think she gets her influence from?
Love the dress, love the hair, love the lips, LOVE the glasses and LOVE the bag....LUVZ IT!!!!

BEST ON STAGE MODEL
This girls out fit was AMAZING! I wanted it! These gorgeous white military style boots are on the top of most girls shopping lists at the moment and they looked GREAT with this outfit. The patterned skinny jeans were both sexy and stylish and showed off her great figure. These paired with a sheer white shirt and a white denim crop jacket made the perfect outfit. And then just to make her even cooler than she already was they threw in the shades! This model was by far the best on stage in this segment of the show as she had a great presence, a lot of confidence and was rocking the best outfit! (I think she knew this)!

So, overall it was a great day out! We enjoyed ourselves and were knackered when we left. I definitely advise checking it out next year if you want to shop till you drop, chec out whats hot for the summer, watch the runway shows, get great advice and tips on beauty and fashion and how to wear it and get you hair and make-up done for free while learning how best to apply and what goes with your look, tone, shape, height and size!

CRYSTAL CELEBRITY - MUSIC VIDEOS AND VIDEO ROLES ADVICE

CRYSTAL CELEBRITY SPEAKS ON MUSIC VIDEOS and VIDEO ROLES!

A lot of people have asked me "Crystal...Should I? Shouldn't I?' when it comes to the subject of doing music videos for more exposure as a dancer, model, actress or other artiste. As this is a subject you want some advice about I have decided to blog about it and give my perspective on the situation.

For all you upcoming models and artistes, music videos CAN be a great place for networking, extra practice, getting a feel for being on-set, meeting other artistes and talents, connecting with directors and finding future opportunities.
In my experience music videos are not only fun, but can also be a very very good way to network and get in touch with great artists, models, agencies, directors and people within the industry, often leading onto more projects in the future and call backs from directors for future projects.

Always try to get a main role if you can as this can create some good recognition, get your face out there and boost your profile and appeal (depending on the artist that the video is for).
Being 'the front person' with the main featured role, as opposed to just an extra, is always better as you will often get a chance to show some acting skills and get the most shots in the video, also being shot alongside the artist shows greater role authority and gives you some added importance in the video.

This does NOT mean that extra/background roles are not good though, as in my experience there are always at least 3 people at each shoot that are worth knowing and connecting with.
Even when chosen to be an extra, often new roles can tend to crop up last minute and if you look the part the director may give you some last minute limelight! So always stand out in your style and appearance because even if you are meant to be an extra, you never know what the director will be looking for on the day.

I do however advise that you be careful about which music videos you choose to do! Remember your image is very important in this industry. So before you start applying for these music videos and accepting roles, you should decide what you want to represent and how you wish to be desired to be perceived as an artist, model, actor/actress or dancer. Know in advance exactly what you want from this process and go ONLY for that, never feel pressured into taking on a role or wearing something you do not want to wear, you will only regret it later on!!
REMEMBER: Once the video is recorded there's no going back, and this footage can follow you!
So don't do anything you may regret later!
BE YOU and be as 'out there' as YOU can handle!
If you can handle it and its you, then by all means go for it, if your unsure of the role you are being asked to play then ask for another one or say no! If you don't ask you don't get!

Remember, the music video is not necessarily going to propell you into fame, it is really just a platform for you to show yourself on worldwide channels like MTV or the more urban channels like AKA and Flava. Be logical about how far these videos can take you and I recommend you to read the book 'Confessions Of a Video Vixen' as she shows the OTHER SIDE of the lives od video girls, and the circles that you can get into when chasing the fame through being a video girl... be very careful what you wish for and never depend on these artists and videos to make you, you have to make yourself, the decision is always ultimately yours to make.

Overall, music videos are great fun! And the more confident you are in yourself, the more confident other people will be in you, so head held high at EVERY casting and always keep your long term vision in mind. Your all fabulous ;o) CC xxx

Luke has a huge portfolio of top music videos for various artists across the atlantic, working in a wide range of genres. Luke has produced videos for the like of Ludacris, Black Twang, Sway, Biggz, Crystal Celebrity, Choong Family, Kosha & Podgy Figures to name a few. Luke is also a director for film and I can't wait to see his future project and hopefully work with him again soon! Number 1 on the list! Another great video director would have to be MO! He is SO creative and innovative and I really love his work. I have witnessed first hand the 'rise and rise' of Mo and he is truely inspirational to me, he is the perfect example of creativity and determination and where it can get you in life. I have much respect and love for the guy! His portfolio again is AMAZING! He has produced and directed videos for the like of: Chipmunk, Skepta, Lethal B, C1, Roll Deep and Tinchy Stryder (amongst others) - definitely a big video producer in the game!

Hi Everyone!
Back to blogging yey! (I,ve found an ounce of time in my day to do it today)!
I hope you are all well! I'm still buzzing from last Saturday and my win of the award for "Most Creative Female" at the London Young Women's Awards!
It was a great evening and full of inspirational females with a story to tell and great futures to look forward to! Thanks for everyone who came to show their support.
So I won!! "MOST CREATIVE FEMALE 2010" And I had to make a speech!!!.... Arrrgghhh!!! I was told in advance alongside all the other nominees "prepare a speech just in case you win"....Errr....of course I had NO speech prepared lol! I was like... uhhhh...hi.... thanks....umm.... then somehow I said everything that I WOULD have said if I had written one! It all came straight from the heart and I got through it by being ME, miss chatter box hahaha! ;o)

In my speech I dedicated my award to my yummy mummy, love you lots mum I meant every word! You are my inspiration and the reason why I want to inspire! You have always been there for me at the majority of my shows, appearances, interviews EVERYTHING! If you can make it you are always there and you are definitely the best mum I could ever have wished for, what a blessing! I lovvve youu ;o)

Sorry its late! But here are the fabulous behind the scenes pictures from the "Bye Bye" video shoot!!!! Damn it was one sexy, very very PINK day!

Storyline of the video:

The UK's top Caramel Doll "Crystal Celebrity" (me) is in town and she's telling her gorgeous Caramel Ken, (New Model - Zack Soa - Booking him at: www.CelebrityPartiesPR.com)

Crystal Celebrity tells her new Ken that she doesn't need his ass anymore!!!!! So in the video we see one sexy, box-wrapped, chocolate barbie minx saying "Bye Bye" to her current love in their fabulous doll Kingdom!!! And we see her replacing him with new caramel Ken who is the sexy, intelligent geeky type that we all (secretly) like. Oh the things that she gets up to in her pink box with her new Ken we can only wonder...!

But of course we had to throw in the male p.o.v's on this track so we have the two chocolate Ken's "Huskey" and "Mr Midas" - telling CC what they think! CRYSTAL CELEBRITY - MY MUSIC!!!! (#1 LOVE)

Before anything else I am a singer & songwriter. This has been my biggest love and passion from a very young age! I started out in primary school, was in every music group I knew of both inside and outside of school including school choirs, youth music clubs, community projects, church projects, local community events and the local Music Academy on weekend... if I could perform, I was there! This carried on for years as I developed and changed and created a portfolio of live performances longer than these catwal legs lol!

AND NOW - WHAT'S CHANGED IN MUSIC FOR ME?

I KNOW MYSELF!

All of my experience allowed me to discover the artist within me, yes I could SING, but HOW did I want to do it, who did I want to do it for and where did I see myself going with it? I began conciously building a HUGE record of performances all over the U.K and far from home!! I wanted people to hear me, I wanted to feel the fear and do it anyway! I wanted to perform and see reactions and build a fan base...and I did many shows and collaborations including supporting and gracing the stage alongside the likes of De La Soul, Terri Walker, S.A.S (Euro Gang), Nate James, & Omar (to name a few)

I worked very hard in school and college and received really great grades, I was happy with my achievements but ready to do something else!!! It was shocking to some (especially family) that I didn't go straight on to University, but I felt that I wanted to go straight out into the world and create my future my way! I knew what I wanted to do and I knew that I could do it! I had sooooo many ideas in my head and was BUSTING to get out there and make my mark! So that's just what I did!

PAST PROJECTS

I was approached by Benji Whytepatch of 'Erra Records' to be part of an international collaboration with 'Nu Starr' (Sweden) and New York Rapper 'Slic One' for the inspirational track 'Keep Holding On' which was up for the Channel U Best Of British Awards and I got involved as it was a great song with a positive message. After having worked with Erra Records on the Nu Starr track I began to work with them on other levels as an A&R representative, sessional work artist and other such projects - over the years a good working relationship developed and the next step seemed like a natural transition....I am now signed to Erra Records!

We recorded the track 'Wanna See You Dance' as a one-off release through Erra records. We shot the video for 'Wanna See You Dance' with NME Award Winning Video Director 'Luke Biggins'. See my debut video here!
